The National Institute of Research and Development for Biological Sciences announces the start of the project entitled "Development of Scientific and Technological Capacity within DANUBIUS-RO, as an integral part of the European infrastructure DANUBIUS-RI", according to the grant contract no. 390075/G 2025-120673 of 15.10.2025, SMIS code 335519, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund through the Smart Growth, Digitalisation and Financial Instruments Programme 2021-2027.

The project is carried out in partnership by the National Research and Development Institute for Biological Sciences as Lead Partner and the National Research and Development Institute for Marine Geology and Geoecology as Partner.

Overall objective: The objective of the project is to strengthen the national partnership participating in the DANUBIUS-RI (International Centre for Advanced Studies on River-Sea Systems) infrastructure and to increase its visibility at European level through research activities dedicated to river-sea transition environments, in line with the DANUBIUS-RI Scientific Agenda.

Total value: The total amount of the project is 14.783.475,00 lei, with an eligible amount of 14.747.775,00 lei, of which the eligible amount from the European Union is 12.535.608,75 lei and the eligible amount from the national budget is 2.212.166,25 lei.

The project will be implemented between 14.10.2025-31.12.2029.
