Science of the future, two days of interactive presentations for high school students eager to understand the world of research

Young researchers from the National Research and Development Institute for Biological Sciences took part in the Science of the Future" event on the occasion of the European Year of Youth"organised by the Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digitisation, together with the Ministry of Education, 15 R&D institutes and academia.

The event took place from June 8 to 9, 2022, in the courtyard of the National Museum of Geology, Sts. Kiseleff nr.2, where for two days there were interactive presentations for high school students eager to understand the world of research.

During the event focused on the "sixth wave of innovation", in the courtyard of the museum, young high school students who want to pursue a university career in the technical field admired the exhibits and experiments prepared by the national research and development institutes in Bucharest and Ilfov related to digitalization, artificial intelligence (drones, robots) and green technologies.

Young people could enjoy interacting with researchers, stepping into their world and learning about projects in our country, interesting research directions and experiments, testing simulators and last but not least learning stories and experiences from scientific expeditions.

A highlight of the stand of the National Research and Development Institute for Biological Sciences was the presentation of the researchers' work in Antarctica, within the ROICE project.

 

Minister Sebastian - Ioan Burduja, present at the event, said: "We want to make our young people fall in love with science and technology again. They are the Romania of the future ...

....I believe in the younger generation and their enthusiasm."
