BIOPOLYOLS OBTAINED BY AN UNCONVENTIONAL TECHNOLOGY OF PLANT WASTE RECOVERY

Description

The GREENOL project is based on the liquefaction of biomass (vegetable waste - lignocellulosic biomass) by solvolysis processes at a temperature of approx. 300 °C to obtain polyols for use in the synthesis of polyurethane foams, unsaturated polyesters, coatings and resins, respectively. At the same time as making efficient use of vegetable waste, the project contributes to the valorisation of another industrial waste, resulting from the production of biodiesel-technical glycerine.
