BOOSTing the bioeconomy transformation FOR (4) the BIOEAST region

Description

The BOOST4BIOEAST project supports the development of the sustainable bioeconomy in the BIOEAST region, bringing together Central and Eastern European countries to collaborate in identifying research and innovation priorities and to capitalise on local bioresource potential. The initiative responds to common challenges related to the green and digital transition, aiming to strengthen institutional capacity and innovation ecosystems in the region, in line with the objectives of the European Green Pact and the European Bioeconomy Strategy.

BOOST4BIOEAST facilitates dialogue between key actors in the public, private, academic and civil society sectors, supporting national governments in the development of bioeconomy strategies and policies. The project contributes to the creation and strengthening of national BIOEAST HUBs as support structures for partnerships, knowledge dissemination, project development and promotion of innovative solutions adapted to local specificities and regional resources.

Through its activities, BOOST4BIOEAST aims to accelerate the integration of the BIOEAST region into the European Research and Innovation Area, promote best practices and support transnational collaboration for a competitive and sustainable bioeconomy. The project provides concrete tools for the development of national and regional bioeconomy strategies, thus contributing to increasing economic resilience, protecting the environment and creating new opportunities for local communities.
