The aim of this project is to model a freshwater planktonic community in several ways. Model predictions will be tested on parallel in vitro and in silico experiments. Single species/pair perturbations will be performed and the response will be measured
community in both mesocosms and simulation models.
The results obtained will help to compare ecosystem structure and dynamics, to determine the additivity of pair effects, to compare modelling scenarios and to identify those with high predictive power.
