Integrated studies on the impacts of climate change on ecosystems to develop sustainable strategies
Description
The objective of the BioClimpact project is to assess, monitor and characterise natural ecosystems and biodiversity in order to generate specific and effective strategies, methods and solutions for their conservation in the context of climate change and to optimise the quality of life; to assess the responsiveness of biological systems to natural and anthropogenic impact factors.
The project focuses on monitoring and characterisation of natural ecosystems and biodiversity to develop specific and effective strategies, methods and solutions for their conservation in the context of climate change and for optimising quality of life. Through these approaches, the project responds to major societal challenges in various impact areas included in the Strategic Research Agenda 2022-2027: climate change, bioeconomy, natural resources, biodiversity, environment and health.
