THE DESIGN OF SELECTIVE CHEMICAL SENSORS ARRAY FOR OXIDATIVE PROCESSES CONTROL

Description

The project aims to realise a network of chemical sensors to control oxidative processes. The objective will be achieved through the development of a DPPH free radical based sensor for the determination of antioxidant capacity, and an enzyme biosensor for the determination of polyphenol content. The successful execution of the project is based on the complementarities that exist between the members of the research team, who have expertise in the fields of chemical engineering, chemistry, biochemistry and electrochemistry. In a first stage, sensors will be developed, optimised, tested and validated, and finally integrated into a network, which in turn will be optimised and applied to control oxidative processes.
