INCDSB had the honour to participate in the Workshop presenting the implementation status of the first 18 months of the Nucleu 2023-2026 Programme, held in Bistrita on 30-31 May 2024, organised by the Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digitisation. The Nucleu Programme is the main competitive funding component for national research and development institutes under the coordination of the Ministry, promoting innovation and excellence in research.

INCDSB was represented by Director General Mihaela Păun and Simona Lițescu, Director of the Nucleu Programme. The Bioresgreen Programme focuses on developing integrated solutions for the circular, sustainable and safe valorisation of biological resources, contributing to the provision of advanced knowledge and innovative value-added products using green technologies (GREEN) to support the bioeconomy-environment-health system.

The programme coordinated by Simona Lițescu also aims to develop an integrated and innovative system that includes sustainable strategies for the valorisation of natural resources, contributing to the maintenance of biodiversity, the health of the population and the reduction of environmental impact. Key elements of this programme include smart waste management, food security control, and environmental monitoring and remediation, addressing strategic areas such as bioeconomy, advanced functional materials and eco-technologies.
