DANUBIUS-RI project is considered by the Romanian Government as a strategic project of national importance for Romania (through the Memorandum signed by the Prime Minister of Romania on 7 October 2014), and is thus mentioned in the National Strategy for Scientific Research 2015-2020. DANUBIUS-RI also has the status of flagship project within the European Union Strategy for the Danube Region (SUERD). This project will facilitate the linkage with other institutions and infrastructures at European and international level in the DANUBIUS-RI research fields, through interaction and visits to other research infrastructures and universities in Europe.
