The project "Higher valorisation of plant by-products and residues to ensure sustainable exploitation of natural resources" - HIVEGRES - proposes new technologies capable of improving the use of natural resources (residues and by-products) by increasing the extraction efficiency and the degree of control of the extraction process and formulation technology.

The aim of the project is to obtain, through safe methods, an improved content of natural compounds with nutraceutical value, to be used as supplements and additives in the production of food products of plant origin.

HIVEGRES aims to provide innovative industrial solutions (backed by a scientific basis) encompassing the activities that constitute the basis for launching new food products, compliant with EU legislation, and realised with low processing costs. The main addressability of the project is in the field of phyto-products as sources of food supplements.
